Location description: Malpica, together with Caión, is one of the most picturesque and traditional fishing villages on the famous Costa da Morte. Like the entire region, Malpica has a lot to offer in terms of cuisine. For lovers of fresh fish and seafood, the region is hard to beat anywhere in the country. Galicia is renowned throughout Spain for the quality of its produce. The coast is very rich in sandy beaches of all sizes, which, in contrast to the Rías Baixas (in the SW of Galicia), are rarely visited by beach tourists in summer. Many beautiful stretches of land and beaches can therefore be discovered when travelling along the coast.
