Description : Gîte familial 6 pers., cour privée à La Neuville-sur-Essonne
Cette maison rénovée occupe une position idéale en cœur de village, à mi-chemin entre Fontainebleau, Orléans et Chartres. Le rez-de-chaussée propose une vaste pièce à vivre avec cuisine équipée ouverte sur salle à manger et salon, complétée d'une buanderie équipée (lave-linge, sèche-linge). L'étage accueille 3 chambres (lits de 160×200, 140×200 et deux lits de 90×200 rapprochables) et une salle de bain indépendante avec baignoire, vasque et bidet.
La cour fermée au calme abrite une terrasse avec salon de jardin, barbecue et plancha électrique, ainsi qu'un abri couvert avec table de ping-pong. Stationnement de 2 véhicules possible dans la cour. Située en vallée de l'Essonne entre Beauce et Gâtinais, la maison permet des randonnées faciles. À proximité : Yèvre-Châtel (7 min), clocher tors de Puiseaux (10 min), île de Loisirs de Buthiers (20 min), château de Fontainebleau (40 min), château de Sully-sur-Loire (1h). Draps et serviettes fournis, ménage de fin de séjour inclus.

This large family home is perfect for ... a large family! Upstairs there are three big bedrooms with two double and two single beds - all very comfortable. Downstairs, there's a spacious open-plan kitchen with a generous dining table. It's stocked in a slightly haphazard way (think holiday-house hand-me-downs) but rummage around and you'll probably find what you need. There's a well-equipped laundry room (which we didn't use) and a big private walled garden out back, safe for children, with a six-seater garden table. (The climbing roses were spectacular when we visited!) And the hosts welcomed us with a delicious home-baked cake - much appreciated :)
In my (long) experience of using Booking.com, I have never before been asked to pay extra for any towels to be provided; initially I was also asked to pay extra if we wanted bedding. (In the end the beds were made up for us, and we used our own towels.) That oddity aside, the only real reservation about this property is related to its location: given it's in a VERY small village with nothing but one (nice!) cafe/restaurant/bar, it's essential you have your own transport. (There IS ample off-street parking.)
When our rental car broke down, we discovered it's nearly impossible to get an uber or taxi (or bus, even) to take you anywhere. We were eventually rescued only thanks to the enormous kindness of the woman running the aforementioned Au Bon Coin cafe, who piled us into her car the minute she heard about our plight and drove us all the way to our repaired car in Nemours - for which we will always be grateful!

High quality accommodation
Set in a charming, quiet village, this is a well appointed property. Excellent facilities, walled garden that worked well as we had our dog with us. Clean, tidy, good wifi, plenty of space (at times there were six of us here) and lots of extras. Plus - the hosts were welcoming and lovely and even helped out by accompanying me to the local vet to get the paperwork stamped for our return. Unfortunately the local cafe was closed for the week we were there as were a lot of places at this time of year.
