Schöne Wochen in Menton mit Aussicht : Traumhafte Lage direkt am Meer. Eine wunderschöne Aussicht. Keine Luxusausstattung, aber Alles da, was man braucht.
Der Straßenlärm, aber da kann man nichts machen - ist nun einmal direkt an der Hauptstraße. Die Aussicht macht aber alles wett.

Traumhafte Lage direkt am Meer. Eine wunderschöne Aussicht. Keine Luxusausstattung, aber Alles da, was man braucht.

A well located Studio with good essentials : The apartment ticked nearly all my boxes. Good shower in a good sized bathroom , good WiFi, good air-conditioning. The price in September was fair and reflected the size ( it is a studio after all but seemed a bit larger because of bed in the wall and the nice balcony). Comfortable but firm double bed for my back. Balcony overlooking the sea but with good views of the harbour and with good views also of old town and Italian coast. Good transport links with Gare Menton-Garavan close by plus #1 and # 18 buses and especially the #25 up to Tende. Italy border is only a few hundred metres away. Smart end of town with the Yacht Harbour so close.
There was plenty of storage space for two and it was clean and easy to keep clean. The whole block's corridors were cleaned every day. There is a large U Express supermarket in walking distance (but with a nearby bus stop if your shopping bags are heavy). Amie du Pain bakery adjacent and open early. Serves breakfast.
I would definitely go back and intend to next year.
These things didn't worry me at all as I only used the microwave, the kettle. the fridge and the kitchen sink but the kitchen is, as one might expect in a Studio, pretty small. An upgrade (an extension would not be possible) by the proprietor would cost little for them and is probably due. Similarly the plug mechanism in the wash basin would only take minutes to fix and has probably been fixed already!!!
There is traffic noise as there is with every single sea front property in Menton but not at night ( that would be the waves!). I always got a good night's sleep and was out most days but, like all us Londoners do, screened out traffic noise by being occupied with those things you do when you go away.
Giotto ( the agent/managers) office is 5 minutes walk away.
I would definitely go back and intend to next year so I hope Booking.com has reordered this review and put the positives smiley face first!! .

Manque plaque de cuisson et cuisine petite. Problème pour garer véhicule. Zone bleue bouger véhicule tous les 3h.
Bien placé petit studio agréable.
