The municipality of Samnaun consists of 5 villages and together with the Tyrolian municipality of Ischgl, it forms the «Silvretta Arena» - the biggest skiing and snowboarding area in the eastern alpine region, providing about 250 kilometers of ski slopes. The «Haus zur Post» is well accessible by, the bus stops of PostBus and SamnaunBus are within close proximity. Public transportation within the Samnaun valley is free and takes you to the valley station of the mountain railway as well as the various bus stops in the other four villages in just a few minutes. In winter time, the valley run leads directly to the village «Compatsch». In summer time, Samnaun offers a vast variety of hiking paths (250 km) as well as biking trails (150 km) which makes it an attractive destination for both activities. With its sauna facility and steam bath, the «Alpenquell water park» is known to be the highest public spa center in Switzerland and is only five minutes by foot away from the «Haus zur Post». Furthermore, the biggest grocery store in the valley, including the alpine diary, various restaurants as well as a bakery is within a 10 minutes’ walk. It can host up to 10 persons. Two or three families as well as skiing or hiking groups can find a cozy place to stay, while 4 separate bedrooms offer enough privacy for everyone. The bathroom on the first floor consists of a toilet, shower and a bath tub. The second floor bathroom offers an additional toilet and shower.
